Being a life long crafter, I’ve had quite a variety of interests, including but not limited to knitting, needlework, ceramics, paper crafting, decorative painting and most recently, sign making. 

Apple Valley Inspirations was begun in the fall of 2017. While planning for their wedding, our daughter and her fiancé chose a picturesque and rustic setting in charming Buck’s County, PA. I volunteered to make signs and decorate the grounds for their wedding and reception, which led to the purchase of my vinyl-cutting machine. Once I began to explore the possibilities of creating items with my new machine, I was inspired to begin making farmhouse signs and decorative items for others, leading to the creation of Apple Valley Inspirations!

As well, I was a career long educator! Between my students at school and our own three (now grown) kids, I have dedicated my adult life to helping kids learn, grow and feel confident in their abilities and gifts. As my years in public education have reached the end, I am excited to explore other opportunities for my business and spend time with my family and friends! My husband and I relocated to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and love this new chapter of our lives.

And now I am thrilled to be on this amazing adventure! Inspired by the name of the farm my family owned and operated many years ago, I have grown to love working with different types of wood, both new and reclaimed. I continue refining my craft, exploring new techniques, and focusing on the individuality of each sign, built by hand with each one unique in its own way. 

My mission for Apple Valley Inspirations is to encourage others, inspire others to dream, put a smile on someone’s face or trigger a fond memory with one of my signs…
